Since the beginning of 2007, my full time employed Consultant Manager, Trevor Walker (who I have known since 1959) has been helping me to make sure our quality of service is maintained, particularly in the Health & Safety area.  This is because toward the end of 2006, the level of business coming in to me was far exceeding that which I could comfortably handle all on my own.  I have given some background information on Trevor in the Latest News section.

HOW DID I GET MY EXPERIENCE & GAIN MY SKILLS ? see below the photo

My career began in 1972, soon after studying for formal Institute of Management Services qualifications, gained in WORK STUDY, ORGANISATION & METHODS.

My early career was spent in manufacturing industry and developed rapidly between 1983 and 1991 when I worked as a work study and industrial engineering contractor for a number of specialist agencies and consultancies in this field, also gaining my first experience in QUALITY and HEALTH & SAFETY practices.  I have worked on the 'SHOP FLOOR' in  production, technical and office environments as well as holding supervisory and production management positions in both union and non-union working situations.

From 1985 to 1991 I was promoted by one of these organisations and TRAINED in PRACTICAL MARKETING and SALES MANAGEMENT, a national UK consulting and training group, from a field contractor to Regional Operations Manager, responsible for the business development (marketing and sales), recruitment and field operations / projects management activities of the business.

In 1991, I began working as an independent consultant and formed my own business, initially providing industrial engineering and quality management services to a wide range of very large, medium and very small businesses and public authorities.

During this period I gradually eliminated the need to work as a sub-contractor and around 1995 ceased to become reliant upon sub-contract work, working direct for virtually of my clients.

Since 1985 I have finely tuned my skills and experience in Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Quality, Health, Safety, Welfare, Environmental, Human Resource / Employment Management and Profit / Productivity Improvement in an UNUSUALLY WIDE VARIETY of INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL & PUBLIC SECTOR organisations.
